Swamp Thing (You Make My Heart Sing) by Ava Ross

“She was the light I’d forever seek in darkness and the heat that would warm my cold heart.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Swamp Thing (You Make My Heart Sing) is a standalone paranormal / monster romance by Ava Ross and part of the Monster Mate Mayhem series by multiple authors.

Amina is so, so wonderful! She’s kind, sweet, understanding, stubborn and compassionate. And she has a heart of gold. Even more, she’s such an amazing daughter, putting everything on hold to care for her mother. This talented chef is an incredible woman who has so much love to give and I loved her so, so much!

And Thul is a phenomenal male! The swamp monster is a wonderful single dad to two really wonderful children. Thul is kind, caring, protective, patient and so irresistibly charming in such a cute geeky way. And he’s quite fun, too! And that deliciously naughty mouth (and tail) of his! Thul is absolutely irresistible and I couldn’t help but adore every single thing about him!

I absolutely loved everything that happened between Amina and Thul! They’ve been pen pals for a while and, even though they haven’t met one another in real life, they’ve been constantly thinking of each other. Until there comes the chance to finally meet… I adored those two together! They were so, so cute and their chemistry was off-the-charts right from the start! And I also couldn’t get enough of their banters and teasing. They also had to deal with some challenges mainly from Thul’s daughter. But together, with kindness, patience and understanding, Amina and Thul will overcome everything. And when they couldn’t resist the undeniable need for one another, the passionate moments they shared were scorching hot and I loved every second of them! Thul and Amina were absolutely perfect for each other and deserved to find happiness and love together.

In addition, I absolutely loved Thul’s children! I adored Krill – he’s such a cute, lovable and fun kid. And Baxi is really wonderful, too – she just needed some time to accept the changes in her life. Even more, we get to learn some very, very curious and interesting things about the swamp monsters and even travel to their underswamp city.

Overall, the story is a really wonderful, cute, cozy, fun and naughty read and I absolutely loved every page of it!

More Quotes

“When you’re ready… Say the word, and I’ll meet you at the ferry. I want… Is it wrong for me to say I want everything? We haven’t even met in person and here I am, dreaming about a future.”

“Thank you.”
“For what?”
“For not being angry. For giving this – giving us – a chance.”
“From almost the moment I met you, we’ve been heading toward this. I’m not letting anything stand in our way.”

“Welcome to my home and my life, pretty Amina.”

“You smell amazing. Do you taste as wonderful, my precious mate?”
“When did the Thul I’m coming to love turn into this unbelievably sexy swamp god?”

“I want to get you dirty. Very dirty. I want to make you beg and plead with me to make you come, and then I’m going to do it. Multiple times, in fact. Then I’ll alternate riding you soft and hard until you’re pleading once more.”

“You say the right things all the time.”
“Because they come from my heart.”

“Tell me what you want. What you need, and I’ll give it to you. Anything. Me? I’m already yours. My heart? Ditto. My soul succumbed the moment I met you.”

“I love you, Amina. I don’t need more time. But I also would never do something if you weren’t one hundred percent into it.”

Blurb

A swamp monster dad makes my heart sing, but his daughter hates me. Can true love conquer all?

Amina: As part of a new monster-human integration program, I sign up for an adult version of a swamp monster pen pal. Thul lost his mate years ago, leaving him to raise his two children alone. We connect in a way I’d never envisioned I would with a monster. When things start to heat up via texts and vid-chats, we decide to take our relationship to the next level. I’ll move in with him. If it works out, we’ll make it permanent.

Monster Island is cute and quaint, and Thul is big, gorgeous, and eager to carry me off to the swamp moss to show me everything he has to offer. Only one thing’s keeping us apart. His eight-year-old son adores me, but his twelve-year-old daughter wants to toss me into the marsh – with a weight around my ankle. Can we find a way to be together?

Thul: Amina’s everything I could ever ask for in a friend, and when she ignites my mating craze, I can’t wait to claim her as my precious mate. But the swamp creature council will only sanction our mating if Amina meets my children’s approval. My son adores her, but my daughter still misses her mom and won’t stop snarling at Amina.

I’m falling for Amina, and I want to be with her forever, but will my daughter tear us apart?

About the author

Ava Ross fell for men with unusual features when she first watched Star Wars, where alien creatures have gone mainstream. She lives in New England with her husband (who is sadly not an alien, though he is still cute in his own way), her kids, and assorted pets, including a yorkie pup and three cats.
